If I succumbed to my true self, my inner subterranean being, I’d be a luddite, surrounded by piles of books in a Left Bank apartment, with a deleted instagram account, cabinets full of chinoiserie, potentially with many cats. A venerable publication recently called my taste “a touch of Paris grandma”, a descriptor I reveled in, thought it’s unclear if it was meant as an actual compliment.
Despite my fantasies of utter eccentricity, I spend a lot of time on the internet. This is largely work induced, but the rabbit hole of inspiration has born a few fruits, including accidental internet to IRL friendships I’ve forged with creative talents from the vast depths of the world wide web.
